SkyBridge Audit

The upcoming Aviator SkyBridge will be working closely with Hacken for our auditing process, focusing on a cost-efficient path. Hacken is a highly prestigious Web3 auditing firm with a robust list of clients, including Binance, 1inch, NEAR, and HTX (formerly Huobi). The SkyBridge development team has internally reviewed the code before the audit, addressed all known issues, and is now prepared for Hacken’s thorough review. We apologize for the delay and are very thankful for your patience.

SkyBridge will be submitted for audit momentarily.

Token Support Update

Compared to traditional EVM bridges, which only support a limited number of tokens, Aviator SkyBridge is designed to support all ERC-20 and ERC-721 tokens out of the box.

Bridging from Ethereum Mainnet to a SkyBridge-supported L2 is always fast.

While traditional Optimism-based bridges, including the official Optimism bridge, require a 7-day delay when withdrawing tokens from L2 to L1, Aviator SkyBridge supports near-instant transfers for select tokens, based on available liquidity. These types of transfers are called Supersonic transfers and are enabled by default if available. SkyBridge still supports the traditional 7-day Optimism withdrawal protocol when Legacy Mode is enabled.

Assets that are not Supersonic-supported are still supported by SkyBridge’s Legacy Mode.

An updated fee structure is being implemented in SkyBridge to build liquidity for commonly bridged assets. Over time, this will dramatically increase the efficiency and throughput of SkyBridge by providing Supersonic transfer support to more assets.

Supersonic Withdrawal

At launch, the following assets will be available for Supersonic L2 withdrawals:

  • All ERC-721 tokens.
  • Tokens with adequate bridge liquidity, which is collected through protocol fees and/or provided by project developers.
  • Naturally, AVI the token itself will support Supersonic.

In a future update, users may be able to provide their own liquidity to earn rewards.

Remember, if an asset does not have Supersonic support, you can still bridge it on SkyBridge using Legacy Mode! Supersonic mode is enabled by default if available. L1 ➡ L2 is always Supersonic.

Tokens such as USDC, USDT, and other massive market cap tokens where we would need adequate liquidity to facilitate instant L2 ➡ L1 are subject to a more complicated solution, but our current fee structure takes into account the necessity to build that liquidity.

Protocol Fees Update

The updated fee structure for using SkyBridge is as follows:

ERC-20:

  • 0.3% of tokens bridged are harvested as bridging fees and added to the bridge liquidity to facilitate fast transfers. (Ex: $1000 USDC = $3 USDC liquidity fee)
  • 0.001 Ethereum is the protocol fee. To bypass the need for an oracle, we opted to make this a flat fee regardless of the value of the tokens transferred.
  • At the time of writing, this combined fee structure is currently the cheapest on the market.
  • AVI is excluded from the 0.3% liquidity fee.

ERC721:

  • 0.002 Ethereum is the protocol fee. It is neither possible nor is there a need to provide liquidity for ERC721 tokens because they are unique by nature.

SkyBridge Runway:

  • The fee to deploy using tokens to Base Network using the SkyBridge Runway is .005 Ethereum. This is baked into the gas fee upon deployment of your token to the Base Network.

SkyBridge Testnet

During the audit process, we shall be utilizing a testnet to serve as a simulated environment for developers to test and experiment with the bridge. It functions as a parallel blockchain mimicking the protocols and functionalities of the mainnet.

Points!!

As we continue to develop Aviator SkyBridge, we want to continually add features that enhance the experience and make SkyBridge the best cross-chain EVM bridge in the world.

In a future SkyBridge upgrade, users will be able to earn points by completing rotating objectives by using the bridge during a specified time period. Rewards are based on your total number of points in a given epoch combined with a multiplier based on your AVI holdings at the beginning of the period. The more AVI you hold, the higher your reward multiplier can get.

AVI tokens will not be required to participate in the points system but will be calculated into your overall rewards. Rewards will be distributed in ETH which comes from bridge protocol fees. Details including reward calculation, distribution methods, points objectives, etc. will be discussed in a future publication.

Volume Competition

When the SkyBridge goes live, we will be holding a volume competition that will include any tokens other than Ethereum and Aviator. Any token that deploys using SkyBridge and has the highest bridging volume will win a custom-built arcade game for their community! We will have one of our in-house Aviator game developers work with your community to build a custom thematic game to launch on Aviator Arcade!

Rules of Entry:

  1. Token must have originated on Ethereum Mainnet.
  2. Token must use SkyBridge to deploy their token to Base.
  3. Volume only counts going from L1 to L2, not back from L2 to L1.

Winners Receive:

  1. A custom-built game to launch on the arcade. This includes:
  2. Early Adopter Bonus if the game is launched within the first month of Aviator Arcade going live.
  3. Assistance from one of our in-house game developers working with your community to build a thematic arcade-style game.

SkyBridge Roadmap

As we grow, we will be adding more functionality to SkyBridge in the form of increasing the supported chains and tokens available to bridge. We are ironing out this process between Base and Ethereum as we are launching our main utilities on the Base Network, however, once we have this system working as intended, adding additional support to other chains is the future of SkyBridge.

Aviator Arcade Update

Aviator Arcade has been developed alongside the SkyBridge simultaneously. We are currently on schedule for the overall arcade platform development. In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to the community for help beta testing the platform! The Aviator team is aiming to have this coincide with the next game jam, and require one of the qualifications for voting be: deploying their game to the Aviator Arcade beta.

Upcoming DAO Proposals

As we continue to grow the Aviator brand behind the scenes, we would not be here without our community. As the project and company both progress, we want our community right there by our side. The decisions we make are to be made with the community’s support and blessings.

In the coming days, we will be creating a special DAO vote to give the community the option to help shape the visual elements of our DeFi Applications. Stay tuned for this proposal and many more as we approach launch.
