Aviator Progress Report

We are excited to announce that Aviator Arcade™ has entered private pre-alpha testing as of 20 October, 2023. These tests are critical to pinpoint exactly how games interact with the API and resolve any issues that may arise.

Lead Dev Reporting In:

The contract is complete and functional on Base Testnet.

Implementation of platform social features.

Updated game software version control.

Updated game upload portal.

New Game Gallery added to upload in-game images.

Implemented high score viewing.

All tests passed on Base Testnet.

SkyBridge™

Following recent meetings with our Base Bridge developers, we have finalized our plans for SkyBridge and its unique bridging experience. This bridge will allow users to easily move tokens between Ethereum Mainnet and Base Network.

While traditional bridges built on the Optimism Stack force an approximately 7-day withdrawal delay moving from Layer-2 to Layer-1, Aviator SkyBridge will grant users the flexibility to to bypass this restriction entirely. SkyBridge will offer two protocols for withdrawal of tokens back to Layer-1.

Our trusted proprietary model which uses hosted virtualization servers to bridge tokens to Layer-1 in speeds up to 20 minutes to bridge.
A traditional decentralized trustless model. This legacy protocol enforces a minimum 7-day withdrawal window.

Our open bridge will allow projects to easily and cheaply deploy their tokens or NFTs on Base. Projects that deploy on Base will allow their users to take advantage of the network’s blazing-fast speed, near-zero transaction fees, and exposure to Coinbase’s existing usersbase. The Aviator team will be deploying several popular tokens on Base network for use with SkyBridge, and we eagerly look forward to working directly with DeFi communities and developers in the future!

Game Jam Progress Update

The Aviator Game Jam has begun! So far, we’ve witnessed many game developers actively engaging with the community on Discord, sharing screenshots of their development stages, and even hosting daily livestreams on Twitch. As of today, 94 devs have joined the Game Jam to participate. We are currently one week into this event, and we’ve already seen amazing achievements from each team and their progress with their games.

We encourage the Aviator community to participate and check out the progress on our Discord server. The Discord community has been having a blast while watching game developers stream their progress, and providing feedback and tips. Our community will be deciding the winners by using the Aviator DAO system. Be sure you get yourself familiar with each submission as your voice matters with your vote!

Aviator DAO Constitution

In the coming days we will be opening a Special Topics channel in the Discord server to discuss the Aviator DAO Constitution proposal!

In this area, everyone will have the ability to discuss and propose changes along with fellow community members. This channel will be open for a predetermined amount of time before being put to a vote. This vote shall require a three-quarters supermajority of $AVI tokens to ratify the document.

Like a real-world constitution, the Aviator DAO Constitution is designed to be a breathing document, wherein amendments may be passed if achieving overwhelming voter support.

What is DAO?

A DAO, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is a management structure that uses blockchain technology to automate some aspects of voting and transaction processing.

The Aviator project aims to embrace the powers of decentralization by fully utilizing the DAO to approve ALL outgoing uses of funds from the Treasury, making the treasury wholly owned by the community. After community approval, any outgoing transaction must also be approved by 3 out of 5 multi-signers, providing additional oversight and protection of project funds.

The Aviator DAO utilizes snapshot: https://snapshot.org/#/aviator-dao.eth/ for a transparent and accessible voting protocol.

Simply visit the site, connect your wallet that holds AVI, and vote on the proposals available. Voting only requires a signature, which does not incur a gas fee. In order to be eligible for voting, users must hold AVI tokens prior to proposal publication. Voting power is determined by the amount of tokens held at the time each proposal is created.

Standard Procedures

Project proposals will be presented on social media for discussion. Discussions shall be hosted in the Aviator community Discord server. Users of other platforms are encouraged to host their own discussions.

Major proposals voting shall last 7 calendar days.
Minor proposals voting shall last 3 calendar days.
Proposals may be repealed with a two-thirds supermajority vote.
Amending this constitution shall require a three-quarters supermajority vote.

The multisig has an emergency veto capacity in the event a proposal would be deemed harmful to the project. A veto requires unanimous approval of all five multisig signers.

Funds in other project-operated accounts such as Marketing or Bridge addresses do not require DAO approval for transactions.

There shall be no minimum quorum required for proposals to finalize.

Proposal Creation

There is no direct proposal publication by AVI holders.

Community proposals can be submitted at any time to dao@aviator.ac. Selected proposals shall be presented to the community for discussion before the decision is made to publish it for DAO voting. All proposals that make it to a DAO vote shall receive $50 in AVI from the marketing account as an award.

Flightmap Update

First, we would like to apologize for the repeated delays in deploying our updated website! While we originally planned to have a brand new professional design published some weeks ago, we have experienced some delays in securing a contract with our web designer. We will keep the community updated as progress is made, and we expect to sign an agreement to build our site in the very near future.

In the meanwhile, we wanted to provide an update on our roadmap! As we have discussed previously in our community chats, our roadmap is always evolving as we progress through development. Our current website will soon be updated with our new project roadmap below!
